Principal Consultant - Security

Looking for a Principal Consultant in our security practice, with deep experience in cloud security particularly in an Azure environment, covering M365 and identity to be pivotal part of our professional services team.

 The role:

• You'll act as the lead engineer & consultant for technical client engagements in security focused on Azure Security and Microsoft Defender M365.
• Day to day, you'll drive, deliver and oversee the architecture, assessments, solutions, and implementation for our clients.
• Your focus will be protecting Azure security environments , both consulting clients and hands-on in delivering effective cloud security solutions. 
• You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify security risks, develop strategies to mitigate them, and ensure compliance with security standards and regulations.
• As a consultant, you'll also be working closely with clients to conduct workshops for clients, communicate and present discoveries to Senior Management and Executive stakeholders (including C-Suite & Directors) and ensure appropriate stakeholders are effectively engaged in the formulation of the ‘secure-by-design’ architecture.
• As a Principal, you'll also influence governance, processes, and documentation within the practice.

The ideal candidate:

• Based anywhere in Australia, you will be an Australian citizen ideally with AGSVA clearance (Baseline, NV1, NV2, PV, PVA)
• Significant consulting, architecture & delivery experience in the cloud security space, particularly in a Microsoft cloud native environment.
• Ability to understand business requirements and design effective solutions
• Top level hands-on engineering skills in implementing security solutions including Azure Security, Sentinel as Code, Azure Defender for Cloud, MS Defender, MDCA, Purview, IaC (Terraform/ PowerShell), Network Security, IAM/ Privileged Access & Vulnerability Management., Security Orchestration and DevOps, Gateway and Network security, & Identity/ Privileged Access & Vulnerability Management.
• Top level communication skills and high-end consulting experience, with the ability to effectively deal with business and technical stakeholders
• Experience in mentoring and guiding other engineers
